Click to view them. << SHOWS >> Thursday, January 12 << MAILING LIST >> JOIN KLEZMEROKE'S MAILING LIST FOR GIG UPDATES!!! << BIO >> We play klezmer influenced tunes by John Zorn, Hasidic New Wave, etc., etc. Though none of us in the band are Jewish or can claim Jewish ancestry, we appreciate klezmer music, its heritage and its offshoots. We are not a tradtional klezmer band, more like a hippie klezmer jam band. There are no vocal or blues numbers, but dancing and whirling are encouraged. We're all from mid-Michigan, land of the Oldsmobile and Zingerman's Deli. s The ensemble consists of some of Michigan's finest musicians who can be found playing in other bands like Steppininit, Zydecrunch, What It Is, Smokehouse, Pub Domain, The Weepers, The Saltines, Five Deep, and The Stinkies.
